From early on, I always knew I wanted to be a nurse and a mother. I fulfilled my first dream by graduating as an RN from Milwaukee County Medical Complex, School of Nursing in 1987. Later, I went on to receive my Bachelors of Science from Marion College in 1991.
My first position in nursing was at Froedtert Hospital. I worked there as a staff RN for 5 years, before leaving to take a job as a Nurse Case Manager in the field of workers compensation. I loved the opportunities this job offered in leadership and developing my communication skills. I stayed in this field for ten years, five of which I had my own home based business.
After my 3rd child was born, I needed more regular hours, so I returned to Froedtert Hospital once again. I worked for another 2 years in this capacity and left due to childcare issues.
In 2008, I decided to have some fun and became a Zumba instructor and taught classes at the YMCA for 8 years.
After my husband passed in 2010, I was lost for quite some time. I was able to regain a sense of myself with therapy, and by attending a 3-day intensive Grief Recovery Workshop, in Los Angeles, CA. I learned more about myself and the many faces of grief. Over time, I began to feel I may have a role in bringing others to a place of peace from their loss and trained to be a Facilitator for Grief Recovery. After some time, this program was no longer a fit, so I continued my search for meaning and recovery.
After taking an online meditation class and researching this field, I began healing others by providing guided meditation classes.
I furthered my healing by exploring the field of energy work. I’m now certified in Theta Healing and Reiki 2.
As a lifelong student of the Universe, I have since opened myself up to my surroundings and allowed Universal wisdom to be my guide. As a result, I am never without a notepad and pen, as I contemplate the mysteries around me…Thus along the way, an observer/researcher of life has been born, and this is where I stand today.
